ranking the arts
The lowest forms of art are collage, haiku, and pornography. The highest forms of art are film and pure mathematics.

If I write a haiku about porn and collages, does that raise the level of artfulness, or just plummet it into the bowels of art?
Ooh, it pushes you way down. It will probably be fun. I collage made out of pornography and haiku would also be good.

glued artlessly to cardboard
sublime tawdriness.
